Chapter 3: The Alchemist’s Workshop
Three months later.
A small atelier that had opened in a quiet corner of the Madeucas Empire was filled with the refreshing scent of medicinal herbs.
Brand-new tools were neatly lined up across the shelves.
Lieselotte stood before the workbench and rolled up her sleeves as if to gather her resolve.
“Alright then.”
“Let’s begin.”
Her alchemy was not the ordinary kind that merely relied on existing skills.
She soaked carefully selected herbs into clear, cold water and quietly infused them with magic power.
But she did not simply pour magic into it.
She deeply understood the molecular structure of each material.
Using the magic power she released like a knife, she first decomposed everything to its absolute limit.
Then she freely controlled that magic power and reconstructed it into the most optimal form.
This was the Flamel-style Alchemy she had learned from her grandfather, the master Nicholas Flamel.
As long as there were materials and magic power, she could create anything extraordinary.
It was truly a form of super-technology.
However, making use of this technique required deep understanding of the objects themselves.
With modern knowledge and the teachings of her genius mentor, there was nothing she could not create.
With a faint glow, the liquid inside the flask began to shine with a golden light.
“Mm.”
“This looks good.”
“For now, let’s just keep making more.”
Now that she no longer needed to hide her talent, she had awakened as her true self—an alchemy enthusiast.
Completely absorbed, she began mass-producing her special potions.
After some time passed.
“Phew…”
“I might have made a little too many.”
The table was now covered with a large number of potions radiating a dazzling golden glow.
“Well, they won’t go bad.”
“If I keep them in stock, they’ll surely be useful for something…”
Just then.
The bell at the atelier door chimed lightly.
Her merchant friend Amanda entered, bringing along an employee from the Adventurers’ Guild.
“Lottie.”
“We urgently need a large supply of potions.”
“The adventurers on the front lines are suffering from a shortage of supplies.”
“Okay.”
“Take everything here.”
“Ohh!”
“This will help us tremendously!”
“With this many, we can save everyone’s lives!”
The guild employee’s voice trembled with emotion as he looked at the golden potions.
The aftermath went like this.
Apparently, the adventurers on the front lines had nearly died after being poisoned by a vicious hydra.
However, thanks to Lieselotte’s special potions, everyone managed to survive.
“This is incredible, Lottie.”
“Look at all the orders for your potions.”
“Hehe.”
“Leave it to me.”
“I’ll make even more.”
Lieselotte puffed her cheeks slightly with happiness, her face faintly flushed as she spoke with energetic enthusiasm.
