Chapter 2: Map of the Lands Surrounding the Kingdom of Ethernil

The Alexandria Continent

A map of the regions surrounding the Kingdom of Ethernil is currently being planned.

In terms of geography, it is roughly comparable to the area around France on Earth.

The Kingdom of Ethernil

The Kingdom of Ethernil is renowned for its advanced magic and magical tools, earning it the nickname “The Magic Kingdom.”

To the east of Eteel lies a vast sea of trees.

Beyond that forest is believed to have become a nest of monsters due to repeated Stampedes.

It is no longer a place where humans can survive.

The only exception is the elves, who have established settlements protected by magical barriers.

The Apostol Empire

Beyond Boltzza lies the Apostol Empire.

It is a cold and impoverished nation that frequently engages in border skirmishes with the Kingdom of Ethernil.

When Viscount Boltzza betrayed the kingdom, the empire launched a full-scale invasion.

One of the legendary heroes from three hundred years ago, Saintess Lilith, once belonged to this nation, but she is now missing.

Burdened by postwar reparations, the empire appears to be keeping quiet for the time being.

The Principality of Mutsu

Southeast of the Kingdom of Ethernil lies the Principality of Mutsu, a nation built upon an aristocracy-first society.

Sacred Beasts are generally not worshipped within the principality.

However, the fishfolk who live in villages along its coastline have preserved their faith in the Sacred Beasts.

This is also one of the countries that must be passed through on the journey to Cacaobelt.

The Holy Theocracy of Seicrica

South of the Kingdom of Ethernil lies the Holy Theocracy of Seicrica.

Although it is a small nation, its religious influence gives it tremendous authority over the surrounding countries.

The Seicrica Holy Faith worships Aither, believed to have been the first human who lived thousands of years ago, as its supreme deity.

Long ago, the Sacred Beasts were also worshipped.

Today, however, the prevailing belief is that the Sacred Beasts are merely Aither’s familiars and are no longer worthy of worship.

Perhaps because of this doctrine, the nation has gradually adopted a strong human-supremacist ideology, building a society with humans at its pinnacle.

The Erasia Dragon Kingdom (Formerly the Republic of Erasia)

West of the Kingdom of Ethernil once stood the Republic of Erasia, a nation founded upon human supremacy.

All races other than humans were treated as slaves.

Faith in the Sacred Beasts had also disappeared from this country.

For many years, it remained at war with the beastkin-supremacist nation to its south.

It has since restored its monarchy and is now known as the Erasia Dragon Kingdom.

The Dwarf Republic

On the peninsula north of the Kingdom of Ethernil lies the Dwarf Republic.

In this nation, a blacksmith’s skill determines everything.

The country’s leader is the Representative of the Supreme National Master Blacksmith, the title held by the greatest blacksmith in the nation.

The first person to hold this title was Aither, making the country one that reveres Aither as an object of worship.

As a result, many of Aither’s techniques have been preserved there.

It is an extremely cold country located beyond the mountain range.
