Chapter 29: Bear House Installation Complete!
“Yuna Big Sister, it’s here!”
The Merchants Guild stood slightly west of the center of town.
Unlike the Adventurers Guild, the kinds of people going in and out were completely different.
There were no muscle-brained fighters or staff-carrying mages.
Instead, there were many merchant-looking people who seemed to have a trick or two up their sleeves.
It had a different kind of intimidating atmosphere from the Adventurers Guild.
On top of that, my bear outfit attracted curious stares here as well.
“Yuna Big Sister, aren’t we going in?”
While I stood near the entrance looking around, Fina spoke to me.
I gathered myself and decided to go inside.
The interior was bustling.
Even here, my bear outfit drew attention.
I pulled my bear hood down lower to block out the stares.
Fina looked around curiously while holding onto my bear outfit.
I headed straight for the reception desk.
“Welcome.”
A woman in her early twenties greeted us.
Even after seeing my appearance, she didn’t change her expression and continued smiling professionally.
As expected of a Merchants Guild employee.
“Um, I’d like to rent a piece of land.”
“The Adventurers Guild recommended this place.”
“Yes, that’s no problem.”
“The Merchants Guild also handles land and property arrangements.”
“What kind of land are you looking for?”
“For now, do you have any empty lots?”
“Yes, we do.”
“Can I rent one?”

She brought out a map and explained where each lot was located.

“And I’ll pass on the thirty-coin one too.”
The thirty-coin lot was in an inconvenient location.
That left the thirty-five and forty-eight silver coin options.
The best one was the forty-eight silver coin lot.
It was close to the guild, close to Fina’s house, and close to the inn where I was staying.
The thirty-five silver coin lot was close to the guild but far from both the inn and Fina’s house.
“What would you like to do?”
“If you could lower the price of this one a little, I’d prefer it.”
I pointed at the forty-eight silver coin property.
“May I ask what you intend to use the land for?”
“I’m thinking of putting a house there and using it as a place to dismantle monsters.”
“Of course, I’ll remove the house before returning the land.”

The woman stepped away briefly before quickly returning.

The woman stood up from her seat.

The place Milene showed us was exactly where it appeared on the map.
Close to the inn.

The size of the land was more than sufficient.
The lack of foot traffic was also nice.

“Transfer?”

“Simply place your guild card on top of this document.”

I wrote my name, transferred my guild card information, and paid thirty-five silver coins for one month.

“I already have a house.”

Milene tilted her head in confusion.
For a moment, I considered explaining the Bear Box and Bear House.
Then I decided not to.

Milene bowed and headed back.
Once I confirmed she was gone, I checked my surroundings.
Right side, clear.
Left side, clear.
Behind me, clear.
Front, clear.
After confirming there was nobody around, I pulled the Bear House out of the Bear Box.
And just like that, a house appeared on the empty lot in an instant.
I took Fina to the warehouse.
“Alright, Fina.”
“Today, I want you to work on the Tiger Wolves.”
Leaving the Tiger Wolves in Fina’s care, I headed back to the inn to cancel my lodging.
There wouldn’t be any meals provided, but starting today, I would be living in the Bear House.
