Chapter 6: The Girl Who Was Saved

After receiving a large order from the knight order, Atelier Liese was busier than it had ever been before.

Handling both potion brewing and customer service alone had reached its physical limit.

In order to focus on alchemy, Lieselotte decided to hire someone who could manage the shop.

With that in mind, she visited Amanda at the OTK Trading Company.

“Amanda, I’d like to ask you to post a job opening for a part-time worker.”

When she entered through the back door of the company, Amanda—who normally laughed loudly and boldly—was clutching her head in distress.

The employees around her were also standing silently, wrapped in a heavy atmosphere.

“Lottie.”

“To tell the truth, someone dumped a troublesome item on us.”

Following Amanda’s gaze, Lieselotte saw a small bundle wrapped in filthy rags.

When she approached and looked closer, she gasped.

It was an elf girl who had apparently been illegally smuggled in from another country.

The girl’s breathing was weak, and her translucent skin was stained with mud and blood.

What was most heartbreaking was that both her thin arms and legs had been cruelly severed from their roots.

“This is terrible.”

“She needs to be taken to a clinic immediately.”

“That won’t work.”

“In this country, the buying and selling of slaves is prohibited.”

“If we take an unidentified illegal slave to an official clinic, the entire trading company could be investigated.”

Amanda shook her head with a bitter expression.

But if they simply threw her out into the alley, she would surely die.

The smugglers had probably decided she was no longer valuable merchandise and discarded her without mercy.

A girl abandoned like a worn-out rag, about to lose her life without being needed by anyone.

Seeing that sight, Lieselotte overlapped the girl’s image with her own past.

A pitiful disposable wife who had been conveniently used by her husband and then cruelly discarded like trash.

‘She’s just like me.’

She understood the pain of not being needed by anyone far too well.

There was not even the slightest calculation in her heart.

She simply resolved to save this small life that had been cast aside, just like she once had been.

“Amanda.”

“Please sell me the materials here.”

Lieselotte grabbed a handful of cheap and common herbs from a wooden crate in the trading company.

Then she took out a single flask from her pouch magic bag.

[A magical tool that allows a large amount of items to be stored compactly.]

Inside the flask was a solution used for alchemy.

Seeing it, Amanda suddenly realized something.

“Lottie, wait.”

“You’re not planning to make a Full Recovery Elixir with junk materials like these, are you?”

“Even you can’t do something like that.”

The Full Recovery Elixir was a legendary medicine.

It was said to heal all injuries and illnesses.

Long ago, it was created by the Silver Alchemist Seifert and the Medicine God Leafchemist, who used it to save countless lives.

If such a medicine existed, then perhaps even this dying girl could be saved.

The employees around them murmured in disbelief.

But Lieselotte quietly closed her eyes and focused her sharpened magic power into her fingertips.

If she were an alchemist who depended only on existing skills, she would not be able to create anything without the exact materials listed in a recipe.

However, the Flamel-style Alchemy she inherited from her grandfather was on an entirely different level.

She deeply understood the molecular structure of matter and used delicate magic control to forcibly extract only the healing components required.

A faint light flickered in her palm.

The herbs decomposed into liquid and were rapidly reconstructed into their optimal form.

In just a few minutes, a jade-colored liquid shining softly was completed inside the flask.

Without hesitation, Lieselotte poured the liquid into the elf girl’s dry lips.

Immediately, the girl’s body was enveloped in a brilliant light.

From the severed ends of her arms and legs, flesh and bone began weaving themselves together at an astonishing speed.

In the blink of an eye, beautiful limbs without a single scar regenerated.

The silver-haired girl began breathing peacefully in her sleep.

“No way…”

“She really made a Full Recovery Elixir…”

The employees of the trading company covered their mouths in shock.

Meanwhile, Lieselotte puffed out her cheeks slightly.

“It’s not some magical medicine like an Elixir that breaks curses or extends lifespan.”

“This is simply a super-fast cellular regeneration stimulant.”

“Cel… cellular regeneration?”

Amanda blinked in confusion.

Lieselotte calmly explained.

“I extracted growth factors from the herbs to forcibly accelerate cell division and regenerate the lost body parts.”

“It works on the same principle as how a lizard regrows its tail.”

While everyone around them stood speechless in shock, the elf girl slowly opened her eyes.

After looking at her restored arms and legs in wonder, she raised her head toward Lieselotte—her savior—and large tears began streaming down her cheeks.

“Thank… you…”

“My goddess…”

The girl clung tightly to Lieselotte’s slender waist and rubbed her face against her.
