Chapter 1: Prologue

This is the Adventurers Guild of a certain city, a place where countless people become adventurers and strive for greater heights.

Adventurers are those who make their living by slaying monsters, conquering dungeons, and selling the materials and treasures they obtain to the guild.

The ranks, from highest to lowest, are “S, A, B, C, D, E.”

S – The elite among elites, so few they can be counted on one hand.

A – Exceptional veterans even among seasoned fighters.

B – Well-balanced and reliable veterans.

C – Adventurers with a fair amount of experience.

D – Rookie adventurers.

E – Apprentice adventurers.

Most adventurers aim to gain “wealth and fame,” steadily increasing their rank by completing various requests and subjugation missions.

However, there are a few exceptional adventurers who do not fit this mold.

This is the everyday story of one such exceptional adventurer and the guild receptionist whose stress levels skyrocketed after being assigned to him.
